Celebrate Swahili Heritage Month in Brampton!
Join Mayor Brown and Brampton Councillors on Friday, July 11 for a vibrant celebration of Swahili Heritage Month at 2 Wellington Street, Brampton City Hall. The festivities start at 5:00 PM with a Community Flag Raising at Ken Whillans Square, followed by a Reception at 5:30 PM in the City Hall Atrium.
Experience the rich beauty of Swahili culture, including traditional music, colorful attire, authentic East African cuisine, and the Swahili language and customs. This celebration honours the traditions, contributions, and spirit of the Swahili-speaking community in Canada.
